Backup File Encryption
Platform: VSE
Dr. Crypto enables Dr. D to encrypt saved (backup) files.
- Currently supports DES, Triple-DES, and AES encryption (AES encryption requires the hardware encryption facilities)
- Provides a secured handshaking interface between BIM-EPIC and Dr. D as an optional security trigger. When Dr. Crypto uses the BIM-EPIC interface, BIM-EPIC creates a unique encryption key for every version—Dr. D picks up all information from BIM-EPIC and encrypts data as it is written
- Supports creation of both encrypted files and non-encrypted files in a single execution
- Encrypts saved files created on either tape or disk
- System requirements: Dr. D 6.8+, and SSL for VSE 1.5E+
- Optional: BIM-EPIC 7.1+
