The U.S. Government has honored CSI International for 26 years of innovation
By CSI International 10 Sep, 2021
9 September 2021 In 1995 CSI’s development group embarked upon creating TCP/IP for the VSE environment, with the idea of a solution designed specifically for VSE. Rather than approach this monumental task by using other designs and implementations, CSI developed TCP/IP using only the Standard RFC documents without reference to any other implementation. The result is a product used worldwide with unmatched performance, stability, and functionality. Today, TCP/IP for z/VSE is the most flexible comprehensive solution for the IBM z series platform, performing and delivering a more effective system over any IBM offering on any of IBM’s platforms. On August 31st, 2021, The United States Patent and Trademark Office recognized the value and significance of this innovative design with a U.S. Patent (US 11,108,671). The internal design for TCP/IP for z/VSE still stands alone in the world as a unique solution. Not only can CSI boast that they have achieved success on the z series platform, but no other TCP/IP implementation has used such a structure on any platform over the last twenty-six years. The challenges of creating a solution for the oldest operating system in the world, z/VSE, have driven CSI’s developers to break new ground and look for unimagined methods. We want to take a moment to congratulate CSI’s development staff’s achievements and add this significant accolade to their list of growing accomplishments. If not for the work of these innovative developers, VSE would have merely been a footnote rather than a robust corporate solution for the last twenty-five years. Enthusiastically yours, Barry Boyer Chief Executive Officer CSI International
CSI International acquires
By CSI International 10 Aug, 2021
6 August 2021 CSI International is pleased to announce the acquisition of several mainframe products from Software Pursuits, Inc., a legendary innovator in the mainframe industry. Software Pursuits has graciously transferred ownership of SPRI (including SPRI-RJE and SPRI-QVIEW), PLF, and DOCS to CSI International. We are excited that Software Pursuits has trusted these important products to us for continuing support and development well into the future. This year has seen many product enhancements and new products come from our development team. Adding these new offerings allows CSI International to continue its role as the leader in z/VSEâ solutions and innovations. As we train new developers in our in-house academy, these product additions allow these fresh developers to experience—along with our current portfolio—some of the most stable and functional software available in our market! In addition, our sales and marketing team is excited to present these new solutions to existing and new customers. It’s been an exciting year for CSI International! But the year has not yet ended. CSI International promises to have even more exciting news for the mainframe market in the coming months. Enthusiastically yours, Barry Boyer Chief Executive Officer CSI International
John Rankin with cake
By CSI International 09 Jun, 2021
9 June 2021 Wow! Just Wow! Our founder, John Rankin, has received his 15th patent. While we all know that he is a brilliant innovator, this achievement puts him in an elite class of prolific inventors. John started his patent-writing avocation eight years ago, and CSI has been fortunate to receive assignments for several of his patents. His work includes many technological advancements that CSI has already implemented—Network Folding—and many more to come in the next few years. While John is not involved in the daily operations of CSI, we are fortunate to have him as a trusted adviser and as our z/VSE™ instructor for our growing cadre of mainframe programmer apprentices. Congratulations, John! We are proud of you and honored to carry your innovations into our mainframe market. Barry Boyer Chief Executive Officer CSI International
