Entreé is a web-based transaction server, providing mainframe access using static and dynamic web pages.
• Entrée runs in its own partition and does not use CICS resources or impact CICS response time.
• Entrée is designed for Internet access, freeing your transactions from 3270 constraints.
• Entrée transactions can use CICS Web Services and other CICS APIs, as needed, to construct and serve web pages.
• CICS 2.3 and CICS TS applications can be executed directly from Entrée.
• Entrée takes full advantage of mainframe facilities to reduce overhead and response time.
• Entrée provides tailorable security settings based on user ID, IP address, transaction, path, and other criteria.
• Entrée supports HTTP 1.1, allowing persistent connections, caching of unmodified pages, and numerous other features not available under HTTP 1.0.
• Entrée supports the use of secure connections (HTTPS).
• Support for REXX allows quick prototyping of new transactions, thus cutting development time and costs.
• Support for CSI's Hierarchical File System (HFS) permits you to create and maintain web pages directly from your PC, using Dreamweaver®, FrontPage®, or other standard editor.
• Access logging and reporting to monitor web page usage.
• Multiple host web sites can be created with one instance of Entrée.
